About the Role
The Engineer – Maritime Connectivity Support role is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. The person in this role will provide technical support for maritime connectivity solutions, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of satellite communication equipment and related network systems on vessels and at shore facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Coordinating with internal teams and customers.
- Documenting incidents and resolutions.
- Ensuring adherence to service-level agreements.
- Assisting in system upgrades, equipment testing, and performance optimization.
- Following safety and compliance standards relevant to maritime operations.
- Preparing technical reports.
- Supporting customer training on equipment usage.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of support processes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong understanding of satellite communication systems, IT network, networking, RF concepts, and maritime connectivity technologies.
- Knowledge of basic networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Experience in configuring network devices.
- Ability to perform technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for hardware and software issues.
- Skills in preparing technical documentation, service reports, and maintaining accurate records of support activities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Capability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai in 24X7X365 Network operations in shifts.
- Ability to work in shifts or extended hours when needed to support critical operations and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Relevant experience in satellite communications, maritime operations, or telecom support is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements related to maritime communication is an advantage.
