About the Role

Initium Productions is seeking a full-time, on-site Video Content Writer based in Mumbai. This role involves developing scripts and narrative structures for live sports programming and studio shows, translating sports stories into compelling visual content.

Key Responsibilities

• Research sports events and trends.
• Create outlines, treatments, and scripts for broadcast and digital formats.
• Adapt content for different platforms, including mobile.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and editors to translate stories into visual content.
• Work with production and post-production teams to ensure scripts align with visual style, timing, and technical requirements.
• Refine copy based on feedback.
• Maintain brand and editorial guidelines.
• Contribute creative ideas for new shows, formats, and segments.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in video scriptwriting, storytelling, and narrative development for broadcast and digital content.
• Ability to research sports topics, analyze event storylines, and translate complex information into clear, engaging scripts.
• Experience tailoring content for different platforms and audiences, including television, social media, and mobile formats.
• Familiarity with live sports production environments, basic understanding of broadcast workflows, and timing for on-air content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with creative and technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, on-site production setting.
• Passion for sports and sports media; knowledge of major sports, events, and fan cultures is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, Film, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
