About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Construction Engineer role based in Chennai. The Construction Engineer will plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities for EPCC projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret construction and civil engineering drawings.
- Supervise work at site.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor heavy equipment usage.
- Conduct inspections.
- Document site progress.
- Support quality and HSE requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in resource planning.
- Help optimize construction methods to achieve project efficiency and reliability.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to complex EPCC projects.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work with Construction Drawings and related technical documentation.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment, including safe operation oversight and coordination at construction sites.
- Proficiency in conducting site Inspection activities to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of HSE standards, quality management systems, and relevant industry codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office tools is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in petroleum, oil & gas, offshore-onshore, or marine projects is an advantage.
