About the Role
We're hiring an AI Research Engineer intern at Origin. We build AI that reads engineering drawings like a senior engineer and performs tedious tasks for them. Our product is already live with industrial buyers, and our next focus is on building design and checking. You will work directly with the founders on challenging problems, including:
- Getting AI to understand 300-page drawing sets.
- Enabling AI to catch mistakes a senior engineer would identify.
- Proving AI works on unseen buildings.

Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with founders on complex AI problems.
- Deep dive into multimodal LLMs, computer vision, AI agents, spatial AI, and evals.
- Implement strong software engineering principles.
