Junior Data Analyst (Basic SQL)
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst with basic SQL knowledge to retrieve, organise, validate, and analyse business data. The candidate will support the team by preparing reports, maintaining data accuracy, and providing insights to assist business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Write basic SQL queries to retrieve and filter data from databases.
- Use SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, and JOIN commands.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Clean, organise, and validate data for accuracy.
- Work with MS Excel to maintain spreadsheets and analyse data.
- Support the team in tracking business performance and key metrics.
- Identify data discrepancies and assist in resolving reporting issues.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and PivotTables.
- Willingness to learn data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Qualifications
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Basic communication and reporting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
