About the Role

Sipa's Cafe, located next to Zostel Vilpatti in Kodaikanal, is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Barista. The role involves preparing coffee, interacting with guests, and creating a welcoming cafe experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and other cafe drinks.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment.
• Take customer orders, handle billing, and process payments accurately.
• Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Assist with basic cafe operations, including restocking ingredients, monitoring supplies, and checking inventory.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth order preparation and timely service.
• Recommend beverages and menu items to guests.
• Follow cafe operating procedures and ensure efficient order handling.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Previous experience as a barista or in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality role is preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and basic latte art is an advantage.
• A passion for coffee, beverages, and customer service.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A responsible, punctual, and team-oriented approach.
• Freshers with a genuine interest in coffee and hospitality are welcome to apply, provided they are willing to learn.

• Salary: 15-18K based on experience.
