About the Role
Interns at Affirm will be contributing members of the engineering team, working on meaningful projects and shipping code. Projects will be tailored to the intern's skills and will best contribute to their assigned team. Internships are 12-16 weeks long.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and ship a project, verifying its functionality in production.
- Collaborate with a mentor and manager to define a project that contributes to the team.
- Ship code and monitor the deployment of your work.
- Present final project work to the entire engineering organization.
- Meet regularly with a dedicated mentor for advice and feedback.
- Attend events with other interns and full-time Affirmers.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Python, C/C++, or Java experience
- Frontend experience in WebApps, JavaScript, AngularJS, or React
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with deployment and testing frameworks
- Experience with API development/documentation
- Experience with AWS or other PaaS frameworks
