GRAD & Company is a full-service Chartered Accountancy firm founded in 2021. The firm is headquartered in Coimbatore, with offices in Bangalore, Pollachi, and Tirupur.
Role Description
The Articled Assistant will support audit, assurance, taxation, and advisory engagements under the guidance of senior team members. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Coimbatore.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in statutory and tax audits.
- Performing test checks and documentation.
- Preparing working papers.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
- Supporting direct tax, GST, and corporate compliance filings.
- Conducting basic research on regulatory changes.
- Helping with accounting, SOP documentation, and financial reporting tasks.
- Interacting with clients for data collection and clarifications.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Contributing to internal process improvements and knowledge sharing.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting or ERP software.
- Comfort working with data and documentation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be registered as Articled Assistants / pursuing Chartered Accountancy (IPCC/Intermediate cleared or as per applicable regulations).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and audit concepts.
- Interest in direct taxation, GST, and corporate compliance, with a willingness to learn relevant laws and regulations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear work papers and client correspondence.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Integrity and professional ethics.
- Collaborative approach to working with teams and clients.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, taxation, or accounting is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel locally for client engagements as required.
- Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, learning environment.
