Role Description

The Chartered Accountant Articleship Trainee will support audit, accounting, and taxation engagements under the guidance of experienced professionals. This is an internship role, based on-site in Jaipur, requiring regular office attendance and occasional client visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in statutory and internal audits.
• Preparing working papers.
• Vouching and verification of records.
• Helping with the finalization of financial statements.
• Working on direct and indirect tax assignments, including basic tax computations, return preparation support, and documentation for assessments and compliance.
• Maintaining proper documentation.
• Updating work trackers.
• Supporting advisory and consulting projects through data collection and analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or eligible for Chartered Accountancy Articleship (as per ICAI requirements), with strong academic grounding in accounting and finance.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, and basic direct and indirect tax concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic use of accounting and tax software; comfort with handling numerical data and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and calculations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear working papers and interact with team members and clients professionally.
• Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and build long-term expertise in audit, taxation, and advisory services.
• Prior internship or practical exposure in accounting or finance is an added advantage but not mandatory.
