Pharmacist Intern Per Diem (PRN)

About the Role

VytlOne is recruiting for a Pharmacist Intern for The Pharmacy at Allies for Health+ Wellbeing Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy student looking to broaden their pharmacy career and enjoys interacting with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
• Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
• Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and place completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify.
• Participate in inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong knowledge for adjudicating claims and filling prescriptions efficiently.
• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Pharmacist Intern license by the PA Board of Pharmacy.
• Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience preferred.
• Retail Pharmacy experience preferred.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
