About the Role
The Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of the Exam Practice, dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient. This role is trained and knowledgeable about eye health, preliminary testing, optics, Visionworks products/services, and managed vision care. The CS guides patients through the initial steps of the Visionworks experience, ensuring their eye exam needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce patients to the Optometrist (OD) and provide the OD with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor, providing associates with necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
- Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.

- Knowledge of managed vision care
- Customer or patient experience preferred but not necessary
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience
Compensation
- Pay Type: Full Time
- Pay Range: $11.41 - $15.13 per hour
- Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors.
- May include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.
