About the Role
The Interior Designer will work on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity, collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits.
- Prepare space plans.
- Create detailed drawings and presentations.
- Select materials and finishes.
- Coordinate FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure designs are executed according to specifications and quality standards.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Gather requirements.
- Present design proposals.
- Support project management tasks such as timelines, budgets, and documentation.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- Proficiency in basic presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe Suite).
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into practical and visually compelling layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including preparation of detailed plans, elevations, and technical documentation for execution.
- FF&E expertise, including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and materials that align with design concepts and budgets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior internship or professional experience in interior projects in Mumbai or similar markets is preferred.
