About the Role
Mercy Hospital's 6B Pulmonary and Respiratory Unit is seeking nurses passionate about helping patients with respiratory illnesses. This role offers opportunities for both new graduates and experienced nurses.
Positions Available
- Graduate Nurses (GN)
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
- Registered Nurses (RN)
Night Positions are eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $20,000.
Nurse Residency Program
- A year-long program tailored to the specialty area.
- All graduate nurses participate.
- Select experienced nurses may participate based on individual experience and professional development needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.
- Monitor patient progress and promote positive outcomes.
- Support a culture of safety, excellence, and teamwork.
Requirements & Tech Stack
Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of an accredited/state-approved School of Nursing.
- Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider/BLS certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
Graduate Nurse (GN)
- Recent nursing school graduate awaiting RN licensure.
- Eligible to participate in Mercy's Graduate Nurse program.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care within a team-focused environment.
