About the Role

As an At Your Service Center Colleague, you are central to delivering a seamless and personalized shopping experience. This role supports all At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks, while upholding Macy's service standards. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, problem-solving, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key, including working a variety of shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidays. This role goes beyond being a cashier; the customer is at the heart of everything done, every day, all day.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet teammates warmly and help ensure the At Your Service area is clean, organized, and ready for customers.
• Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on trends and promotions to support the team and engage customers confidently.
• Welcome customers with genuine hospitality, making eye contact, and starting personal conversations to build relationships.
• Assist customers in all aspects of total store fulfillment, including By Online and Pick Up in Store.
• Be proficient in all systems needed to complete transactions.
• Ensure the collection area is organized for a friction-free customer pick-up experience.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering merchandise and keeping pick-up and return areas clean.
• Ensure timely completion and curbside delivery of Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS) orders.
• Share Loyalty program benefits and ensure customers have everything they need.
• Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration.
• Strive to improve daily, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
• Ability to make prompt, sound decisions in real time to effectively address customer needs and resolve issues.
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
• Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
• Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
• Resourceful and eager to start a new venture, able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable handling electronic devices.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting at least 25lbs.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching, including above eye level.
• Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
