About the Role
Join our 12-week internship program and work alongside world-class software engineers, cloud computing experts, and AI visionaries. Our GovCloud Development Platform engineering teams are responsible for building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems that support hundreds of features for high-compliance environments. As a software engineer intern on the GovCloud Development Platform team, you will work within team-defined designs and architecture to help deliver robust product onboarding experiences, cloud-native services, and resilient infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers to implement your project, ensuring high availability and security compliance for our software services.
What You Will Be Doing
- Influence the future of our products, platform, and AI-powered experiences.
- Receive mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Contribute to solutions, including agentic technologies, that impact millions around the world.
- Work on projects involving robust product onboarding, cloud-native services, and resilient infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers to implement projects ensuring high availability and security compliance.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) operating on U.S. Soil who does not hold dual citizenship.
- Ability to meet customer and government screening standards, including a Criminal Justice Information Services screening with fingerprint scan.
- Citizenship will be verified through two of the following REAL ID Act documents: U.S. Passport, Passport Card, REAL Driver’s License, Global Entry Card, U.S. Government CAC/PIV.
- Agreement to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government and gain other clearances as deemed appropriate.
- Located in North America.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming/design, algorithms, and data structures and how to efficiently implement them into a solution.
- Strong understanding of CS fundamentals and practical coding application.
- Team player with demonstrated collaboration skills.
Even Better If
- Coursework in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proficiency in Java, Javascript and related frameworks.
- Working knowledge of HTML and web technologies.
- Knowledge of front end and back end languages.
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal and visual.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
