About the Role

The Unemployed role at PS Consultancy is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role serves as an entry pathway for individuals currently not employed, offering structured exposure to manufacturing consulting, continuous improvement practices, and digital solution development. The position aims to build professional skills, support ongoing projects, and prepare the individual for future roles within consulting or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Shadowing consulting assignments.
• Supporting data collection and basic analysis.
• Assisting with documentation and preparation of training materials.
• Participating in internal workshops and learning sessions.
• Collaborating with mentors to understand Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
• Observing client interactions.
• Helping with organizing knowledge resources and internal reports.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational skills in data handling, spreadsheets, and visual presentation of information.
• Familiarity with digital tools or dashboards is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and apply basic concepts in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement, with strong interest in manufacturing and operational excellence.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes, prepare simple reports, and collaborate within a team setting.
• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative; openness to feedback and structured mentoring in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Organizational and time-management skills to support project tasks, training sessions, and internal coordination.
• Educational background in engineering, science, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, respect for diverse colleagues and clients, and adherence to safe work practices and 5S culture.
