About the Role
BigBear.ai is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team. This role supports the design, development, integration, and maintenance of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with system engineering duties and hone skills.
- Liaise with customers to uncover and analyze system requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement requirements.
- Assist in the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Help identify and resolve system issues, implement improvements, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly (required).
- Residency: Must reside in the United States at the time of application.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (no experience required).
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a closely related technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics) plus 1 year of relevant experience.
- Relevant Experience: Experience must include engineering systems over their lifecycle, such as:
- Conception, design, and development.
- Testing, production, and distribution/deployment.
- Operation, maintenance, and support.
- Growth Mindset: A desire and willingness to learn and grow.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A passion for tackling technical challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
