Full-Time Store Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management.
• Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilize the point-of-sale (POS) system to scan and process customer purchases.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Follow line policy and open additional check lanes as required.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms.
• Complete curbside pickup orders, verifying contents and ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards.
• Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
• Comply with all established company policies and processes.
• Support store management in providing a safe working environment.
• Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks.

Physical Demands

• Push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
• Lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Operate equipment such as cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.
• Stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
• Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks to maximize productivity.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
