Cashier

About the Role

SodexoMagic is a joint venture partnership between Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo. This role is a full-time Cashier position within a retail operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Accurately operate the cash register/POS and complete transactions.
• Provide support to the retail operation, including setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closing down.
• Operate a cash register (or equivalent), receive payments, make change, and issue receipts.
• Provide the highest quality of service to customers.
• Maintain proper security of cash.
• Attend work and shows for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Cash register/POS operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• If alcohol is served at the location, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol.
• May require a valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
