Cashier

About the Role

The Cashier at BETA will handle daily point-of-sale transactions, process payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate cash handling. This role includes maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, assisting customers with basic inquiries, and coordinating with the store or office team to resolve billing or transaction issues. The Cashier will monitor cash balances, reconcile totals at the end of shifts, and follow company policies for returns, refunds, and discounts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage cash, card, and digital payment transactions accurately and efficiently
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication and a professional, respectful demeanor
• Basic numerical and record-keeping skills for tallying sales and reconciling cash drawers
• Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and learning new software tools as needed
• Attention to detail and reliability in following financial and security procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a busy environment
• Prior experience in cashier, retail, or front-office roles is an advantage but not mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification preferred
