About the Role
Clean Harbors is seeking a Chemical Engineering Project Management Intern for Summer 2027. This is an in-person internship at our Norwell, MA headquarters. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting real projects across environmental, energy, and industrial services. The program provides engagement with teams, mentors, and leaders, experience through meaningful projects, education about the environmental services industry, and exposure to different career paths.
Internship Dates: May 17th or May 24th, 2027 through August 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Assisting in the implementation and evaluation of ongoing projects.
- Assisting investigations in support of company reporting protocols.
- Supporting Engineering and Operations.
- Using CAD programs to revise and update drawings.
- Assisting site engineers with project scoping and design.
- Taking initiative and demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Strong interest in learning about the environmental services industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant technical tools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in a lab setting (preferred).
