Finance Analytics Specialist

About the Role

This position helps ensure the company makes sound financial decisions. The role will analyze and interpret client data or identify trends used by senior managers to make strategic company decisions. This position works on multiple reports simultaneously, focusing on details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges. They will collaborate with finance partners across the country to consult on planning and reporting. This position assists others in understanding financial reports, graphs, and charts. The International Finance Analytics Specialist will support the Finance Shared Service Director analyzing large and complex datasets, identifying trends and emerging risks, and converting data into actionable business insights for leadership decision-making. The candidate will possess a unique blend of analytical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills. They must be able to rapidly learn new business processes, navigate ambiguity, identify meaningful patterns within data, and translate complex findings into concise executive-level recommendations. This role will support reporting and analytics across International Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Researches and interprets financial data to ensure leaders have the most up-to-date and reliable information to help make the best possible decisions.
• Researches requested expenses and project trends for staff, division, business, and center managers to ensure operation within budget guidelines.
• Assists in performing variance analysis of actual versus planned data to identify areas where targeted projections are not being obtained.
• Audits areas of concern (e.g., unusual cost, overtime hours, etc.) to ensure proper reporting occurs.
• Gathers and analyzes preliminary data for management team to help determine strategic direction for communicating information to the regions and districts.
• Analyzes large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
• Conducts analysis to determine root-causes of business issues and emerging operational challenges.
• Identifies meaningful insights and develops recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
• Proactively investigates anomalies, exceptions, and challenging business trends.
• Designs, builds, and maintains dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Automates reporting processes and improves analytical efficiency.
• Ensures reporting provides actionable insights rather than simply historical data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field - Preferred
• Experience with auditing - Preferred
• Experience demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel and Access)
