Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier. Key Responsibilities

• Greet shoppers and donors with a warm smile and exceptional customer service.
• Inform customers about the Elizabeth Clark Fund and encourage participation.
• Assist customers with purchases using the cash register and point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
• Complete reports such as donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
• Answer phone calls with friendliness and a commitment to customer service.
• Select and price donated goods and textiles, ensuring Goodwill quality control standards are met.
• Maintain neat and clean store areas.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Basic math, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to count back change.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and foster a strong team atmosphere.
• Ability to promote the agency in a positive manner.

Work Schedule

• Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
