About the Role

The AISC Checker Modeler Detailer role at Sloan Global is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, model, and detail structural steel components in accordance with AISC standards and project specifications.
• Prepare and review steel shop drawings, connection details, and erection drawings.
• Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Review and verify drawings and models for compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies before fabrication.
• Maintain organized documentation.
• Update models and drawings based on design changes.
• Support quality assurance processes to meet project deadlines and safety standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with AISC standards.
• Proficiency in creating, modeling, and detailing structural steel components.
• Experience preparing and reviewing steel shop drawings, connection details, and erection drawings.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
• Skill in reviewing and verifying drawings and models for compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience maintaining organized documentation.
• Experience updating models and drawings based on design changes.
• Experience supporting quality assurance processes.
