About the Role

An editorial intern at The Hill will gain intense exposure to national politics and Congress in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing and reporting
• Assisting reporters
• Assignments requiring visits to the Capitol and halls of Congress
• Clerical duties
• Assisting at events hosted by The Hill
• Assisting reporters with projects

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Part-time position
• Applications due November 15th

Qualifications

• Familiarity with The Hill is strongly recommended.
• Must include:
• The semester for which you’re applying.
• The beginning and ending dates of your internship.
• The days of the week you’re available.
• The hours you are available.
• A resume.
• A cover letter.
• Information on any academic programs in Washington you are participating in.

Compensation

• $18.40/hour

Intern Responsibilities

• Interns are entirely responsible for their own lodging and travel.
• The Hill will cover in-town travel expenses for work assignments.
