About the Role
The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Tech to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role provides assistance in dispensing functions, including purchasing, inventory control, sterile product preparation, and automated dispensing cabinet maintenance. The individual will perform technical duties to support pharmaceutical dispensing for all patient age groups, including inpatients and outpatients.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity.
- Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs).
- Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits.
- Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain records.
- Respond to requests for STAT orders, routine orders, department requests, and ADC stock out bulletins.
- Ensure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
- Stock medications into pharmacy inventory, including sterile compounding areas.
- Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas.
- Attend to medication requests and phone calls.
- Prepare simple IV admixtures (excluding chemotherapy, biotherapy) accurately.
- Comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies.
- Assist in performing various duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license/certification, as required by state law.
Qualifications

- Preferred: Hospital experience.
- Preferred: Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification.
