About the Role
UST is looking for a Validation Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and install/configure Microsoft Operating Systems.
- Identify test cases from an available set.
- Reproduce reported failures in required platform configurations and manage defects.
- Analyze system Power states and Device states.
- Understand and analyze test strategies.
- Work according to client schedules.
- Attend stand-up meetings and understand requirements before testing.
- Work with systems on racks.
- Understand various Windows products features and execute test cases.
- Assemble computer systems.
- Understand, articulate, and isolate issues observed during test execution.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic understanding of Platform HW/SW ingredients for post-silicon / pre-silicon.
- Knowledge of various Benchmark tools, Stress & Stability, and Power Management.
- Basic knowledge in system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, Multimedia, Driver, Camera, Disk, Desktop, Power management, Type C, and silicon technologies.
- Ability to understand and execute test cases for Windows products.
- Ability to assemble computer systems.
- Ability to understand, articulate, and isolate issues.
