Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or EMT
About the Role
Summit Medical Group of Oak Ridge has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or EMT to join their practice. This is a full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and if certified, X-rays.
- Performs intravenous (IV) therapy.
- Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for examination or procedure.
- Assists physicians with procedures, administers medication, and provides patient education.
- Receives and returns phone calls regarding patient needs, utilizing sound clinical judgment.
- Maintains stocked, neat, and clean examination rooms and common work areas.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines.
- Performs clerical duties, contacts patients regarding test results, and schedules appointments.
- Pulls and prepares patient records.
- Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor, Site Manager, physician, or Administrative staff.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Chest and Extremity X-ray certification required for some positions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; prefer additional vocational or college credits.
- At least six months experience in a similar clinical setting is preferred.
- Maintains updated LPN credentials / certification.
