Floating, Patient Registration

About the Role

The Floating-Patient Registration role is a direct-hire opportunity with TEKsystems in the Twin Cities Metro Area. This position offers direct patient interaction and focuses on welcoming and supporting patients without scheduling responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and providing outstanding customer service.
• Checking patients in for appointments.
• Collecting and verifying demographic information.
• Reviewing insurance cards and confirming insurance eligibility.
• Ensuring patient paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintaining a professional, compassionate, and positive patient experience.
• Supporting front-desk operations across multiple clinic locations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a healthcare, medical office, dental office, or insurance-related setting.
• Ability to read and understand insurance information and benefits.
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable personality.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel between clinic locations as needed.

Floating Clinic Locations

Candidates must be comfortable traveling to various clinic locations, including:

• Minneapolis
• St. Paul
• Burnsville
• Shakopee
• Buffalo
• Plymouth
• Woodbury
• Vadnais Heights
• Blaine/Coon Rapids
• Cambridge

Schedule

Clinic hours vary by location:

• Minneapolis:
• Opener: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Closer: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or until the last patient leaves)
• Other Locations: Typically 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Shifts may extend until the final patient has been seen.

Pay and Benefits

• $23/hour
• Mileage Reimbursement for travel beyond your normal commute at the current IRS rate.
• Additional $5/hour premium when working at qualifying outstate locations (Cambridge, Buffalo, and Northfield).
• Pay range: $47,840.00 - $47,840.00/yr.
