About the Role

The Teacher at The Shyne School is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodinville, WA. This position focuses on the afternoon in the Toddlers/Young Preschool Rainbow class, with children aged 2 to 3 years old. The role operates Monday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This is an entry-level position with training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons and activities that are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and aligned with the school’s curriculum and philosophy.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supervise children throughout the day.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through structured and play-based learning.
• Observe and document children’s progress.
• Communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education.
• Prepare classroom materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized learning space.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Interested in staying for 2 or more years.

Qualifications

• Some experience with children.
• Experience in early childhood or elementary education, with the ability to design and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and family updates.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills and willingness to work as part of a teaching team and participate in school-wide initiatives.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering each child’s social-emotional development and individual learning needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet state and local childcare licensing requirements, including background checks and any required certifications.
• Ability to stand, move, and engage in activities with children throughout the day, including indoor and outdoor play.

Relevant coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field preferred.
