Art Assistant

About the Role

The Art Assistant role at Genesis Creations House is a remote contract position supporting the creative team with day-to-day artistic and design tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with graphic design projects.
• Preparing and editing images for digital and print use.
• Helping develop visual concepts under the guidance of art direction.
• Organizing and maintaining digital asset libraries.
• Following established brand and style guidelines.
• Collaborating with artists and other team members to ensure visual consistency.
• Providing clear communication on project status.
• Meeting deadlines.
• Adapting to feedback to refine artwork and design deliverables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Image Editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or equivalent).
• Basic Graphic Design skills for digital and print assets.
• Familiarity with digital asset management and file organization best practices.
• Experience with additional design or illustration tools (e.g., Illustrator, Procreate, or similar) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong visual arts foundation, including experience with Art and a keen eye for composition, color, and detail.
• Ability to support Art Direction by interpreting creative briefs, following style guidelines, and executing visual concepts accurately.
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate remotely, respond constructively to feedback, and clearly document project updates.
• Comfort working in a remote contract setting with reliable time management, self-organization, and adherence to deadlines.
• Relevant coursework, training, or portfolio demonstrating art and design capabilities.
• Formal education in art, design, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
