Specialist, Application Developer

About the Role

Business Function Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern programming technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product owners, and system architects, to deliver scalable and robust solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices and organizational coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and system bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Support and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate automated software delivery.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proven experience in application development using technologies such as Java, Python, or JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL, as well as microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
