About the Role
The Video Editor intern role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kochi, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks. The intern will assist in editing raw video footage into polished content, including trimming clips, arranging sequences, and adding transitions and basic effects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in editing raw video footage into polished content.
- Trim clips and arrange sequences.
- Add transitions and basic effects.
- Collaborate with the production team.
- Organize media assets.
- Apply color grading under guidance.
- Support the creation of simple motion graphics and on-screen text.
- Adapt video content for different platforms.
- Follow brand guidelines.
- Meet project timelines.
- Learn industry tools and workflows.
Qualifications
- Skills in Video Production and a basic understanding of the end-to-end video workflow.
- Skills in Video Editing, including timeline management and use of common editing software.
- Skills in Video Color Grading, with the ability to adjust basic color, contrast, and tone.
- Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating simple titles, lower thirds, and visual elements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Creativity.
- Visual storytelling ability.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to take feedback constructively.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) is beneficial.
- Relevant coursework, personal projects, or a portfolio showcasing video work is an advantage.
