PeopleLens
About the Role
We’re looking for a driven, curious, and entrepreneurial Sales Development Intern to help build pipeline and create meaningful engagement with Sales, Enablement, and RevOps leaders. This is not a traditional “dial-for-dollars” SDR internship. You’ll operate like an AI-native GTM builder - combining prospecting and outreach with AI agents, automation, prompt engineering, and experimentation to help us build a smarter outbound engine. You’ll work closely with the founding team on real GTM challenges.
- Duration: 60–90 days
- Weekly Commitment: 25+ hours/week
- Location: Remote, U.S. only
- Compensation: Unpaid
What You'll Learn
- How to succeed as an SDR in a high-performance B2B SaaS environment
- How modern GTM teams use AI, automation, and data to work smarter
- How to research accounts, understand buyer personas, and create personalized outreach
- How to build and test AI-assisted workflows for prospecting, personalization, and follow-up
- How to learn from campaign results and continuously improve your approach
- How startup founders think about pipeline, messaging, experimentation, and GTM execution
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify high-potential accounts and buyer personas within our ICP
- Reach prospects across channels, including cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn
- Build and run a small outbound campaign - plan the approach, execute it, measure results, and share what you learned
- Use tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, ChatGPT, and Claude to improve research, personalization, and follow-up
- Experiment with AI agents and lightweight automations that make outbound work faster and more effective
- Identify repetitive GTM tasks and propose small automation experiments to eliminate or simplify them
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations and learning from feedback
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, iterative environments
- Curious about AI, startups, sales, and finding smarter ways to get work done
- Comfortable experimenting, failing fast, learning, and improving quickly
Bonus
- You’ve experimented with AI tools, built a small automation or agent, written prompts to improve a workflow, or simply love figuring out how systems can work better.
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate or master’s student who wants to learn the craft of sales development while also learning how AI agents and automation are changing how modern GTM teams operate.
