Graphic Designr Intern

About the Role

As a Graphic Designer Intern at Laneway, you will support the design and media team by creating visual assets for digital campaigns, presentations, and client projects. This internship role involves designing graphics for social media, marketing collateral, and brand materials, as well as assisting with image editing and layout refinement. You will collaborate with consultants and marketing specialists to ensure visuals align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. This is a fully remote internship role, offering flexibility and exposure to a wide range of business and marketing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing graphics for social media, marketing collateral, and brand materials.
• Assisting with image editing and layout refinement.
• Collaborating with consultants and marketing specialists.
• Brainstorming creative concepts.
• Preparing design drafts.
• Incorporating feedback.
• Organizing design files for easy reuse.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Image editing tools and software (with attention to detail in color, typography, and layout).
• Understanding of social media platforms and how visual content supports audience engagement and brand storytelling.
• Interest or basic knowledge in marketing, particularly how design contributes to campaigns and brand visibility.
• Working knowledge of common design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or similar) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, manage time, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational skills in graphics and graphic design, with the ability to create clear and engaging visual content.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant program in design, media, communication, or a related field is beneficial.
• A portfolio or samples of previous design work, academic or personal projects, that demonstrate creativity and basic design skills.
