About the Role
The Collective Imagination Practice Community, hosted by Huddlecraft and Canopy, is seeking a full-time, on-site Healthcare Specialist based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role focuses on providing frontline care and support within community activities, ensuring participant safety and wellbeing during events, workshops, and peer learning journeys. Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline care and support within community activities.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants during events, workshops, and peer learning journeys.
- Assess basic health needs.
- Respond to minor medical issues.
- Coordinate emergency care when required.
- Maintain clear documentation of healthcare interactions.
- Train community members in basic health and safety practices.
- Collaborate with organizers to design health-informed activities.
- Communicate effectively with participants, partners, and local health services.
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Clinical and emergency care skills, such as EMT experience and a foundational understanding of medicine.
- Strong communication abilities to engage with diverse groups, explain health guidance clearly, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Healthcare practice skills, including basic patient assessment, health monitoring, and familiarity with community or public health contexts.
- Training skills to deliver health and safety orientations, first-aid training, and support capacity-building for community members.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in medicine, nursing, public health, or allied health, and current certifications in first aid and CPR are beneficial.
- Experience working in community settings, nonprofits, or social impact organizations is highly valued.
- Ability to work on-site with flexibility across different activities.
