Sales Associate (Full-Time)

About the Role

DTLR, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Sales Associate for the Starlite Center in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role is crucial to providing customers with the best possible in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist store management with daily operational functions.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional, courteous, reliable, attentive, honest, and responsive manner.
• Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance to help customers select appropriate products.
• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs and build relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Comply with and enforce all company policies.
• Embrace service training and product programs.
• Assist Store Manager with monitoring and identifying issues related to store shrink and operational inconsistencies.
• Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Support the training of employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Minimize shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft, following loss prevention policies and security procedures.
• Enforce and follow proper point of sale procedures.
• Balance money taken in and investigate discrepancies.
• Keep management informed of important developments and potential problems.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours up to a maximum of 40 hours.
• Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
• Willingness to work in multiple stores within the assigned district.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

Education And/Or Experience

• Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills And Knowledge Requirements

• Excellent command of the English language for effective communication.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Proven track record in building and working as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle responsibility.
• Understanding of the needs of the street lifestyle customer.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.

Compensation

• Sales Associate (Full-Time) pay range: $17.37 - $18.37 per hour.
• Eligible for the company 401K plan.
