About the Role
Dumroo.ai is hiring a remote Security Intern to help protect our platform and user data by finding and fixing security weaknesses in our applications and cloud setup.
- Employment Type: Internship (Full-Time)
- Duration: 6 months, extendable or convertible to full-time based on performance
- Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM India Time)
- Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities
- Run vulnerability scans and authorized security assessments of our web apps and APIs
- Review code and configurations against the OWASP Top 10
- Help audit cloud access controls, secrets handling and logging
- Track findings and work with developers to fix them
- Draft and update security policies, checklists and documentation
- Support data privacy and compliance work
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Understanding of web application security, networking basics and common attack types
- Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP or Nmap
- Basic scripting in Python or Bash
- Understanding of Linux, networking, and log analysis
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or eJPT
- CTF, bug bounty or home-lab experience
- Exposure to AWS security services and privacy frameworks such as GDPR
