About the Role

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to sit at the intersection of fundamental science, modern material technology, and commercial product launch. You will have the platform to modernize legacy hard-tissue testing, pioneer new methodologies, and directly influence global oral care innovations from bench to market. If you are energized by the challenge of transforming complex scientific mechanisms into tangible consumer benefits, automating laboratory workflows, and building data-driven technical narratives that shape brands, this position offers high visibility, technical growth, and the ability to make a lasting impact on oral healthcare worldwide.

We are looking for a curious, forward-thinking Scientist to spearhead the design and application of cutting-edge in vitro testing methodologies. In this high-impact role, you will bridge fundamental chemistry to explore how novel formulations interact with enamel, dentin, and modern oral materials. You will be working with models that prove product safety and efficacy. You will also help define the future of our R&D pipeline through digital integration, automation, and compelling visual science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to modernize and transform legacy in-vitro testing methods. Identify creative approaches to optimize, automate, and scale both experimental and digital workflows for maximum efficiency and data integrity.
  • Actively participate in product claim generation, validation, and defense. Design robust testing proposals, develop comprehensive technical support packages, and build rigorous scientific justifications to support regulatory clearances, marketing claims, and product launch milestones.
  • Identify state-of-the-art measurement, microscopy, and imaging technologies to visualize and quantify product benefits creating powerful scientific visualization and product stories.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, formulators, and clinical teams to bridge the gap between formula composition, laboratory models, and human outcomes. Holistically integrate experimental data to feed predictive digital models and accelerate R&D development timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proven track record of designing rigorous, highly reproducible laboratory experiments and developing robust testing protocols.
  • A strong passion for life science, including micro-architecture dental tissues and plaque.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to translate complex laboratory findings into clear, actionable insights for multifunctional project teams.
  • Experience partnering seamlessly across diverse functions—including Formulation, Process Development, Safety & Regulatory, Professional Relations, and Brand teams.
