About the Role
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, focused on customer success through human agents. The company is looking for Trailblazers passionate about advancing business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and upholding Salesforce's core values. This role is part of Agentforce, the future of AI at Salesforce.
Overview Of The Role
This is a forward-deployed, early-career role for a highly driven Value Acceleration Engineer within Agentforce for Supply Chain. The role focuses on reimagining the supply chain with an AI-powered platform for business process design, automation, and execution. The engineer will embed directly with enterprise customers and Customer Success teams to bring AI concepts to life and compress their time-to-value. This is a rotational "Field Residency" role, typically lasting 6-12 months, followed by a transition into a core AFO product and engineering pod.
Key Responsibilities
- Work hands-on with strategic customers to design and build "Day 1" agentic workflows and blueprints.
- Participate in 90-day Value Acceleration programs, acting as the technical builder to get 1-2 primary use cases live in production.
- Quickly troubleshoot bugs, unblock implementation hurdles, and solve usability or security asks to drastically reduce Time-to-First-Value (TTFV).
- Facilitate working sessions with customers and deployment strategists, bridging the gap between business needs and technical feasibility.
- Enable and support implementation partners to take over ongoing build work post-engagement.
- Document design decisions and build patterns from customer engagements to feed the use case library and core product roadmap.
- Serve as the feedback loop between the customer edge and mainline engineering, translating real-world friction into scalable product features.
- Successfully graduate from the forward-deployed rotation, transitioning deployment expertise into a permanent builder role within core product pods.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field, with a 3.5+ GPA (M.S. is a plus).
- A builder's spirit (demonstrated by building projects on the side, staying on top of tech developments).
- High empathy and exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting to external customers and navigating complex enterprise environments.
- A strong desire to learn both technical systems and business processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment requiring quick problem-solving to unblock implementations.
- Enthusiasm for a rotational model.
- Modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript) and a proven ability to pick up new technologies quickly (preferred).
- Previous experience, projects, or internships in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Sales Engineering, Tech Consulting, Implementation) (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform or building agentic workflows/blueprints (preferred).
- Exposure to the supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing industry (preferred).
