Microsoft Windows Server SME at CGI
Key Responsibilities
- Windows Server Administration
- Install, configure, administer, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025).
- Manage large-scale physical and virtual Windows Server estates.
- Perform OS migration, in-place upgrades, server builds, decommissioning, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot CPU, memory, storage, filesystem, networking, boot, service, application dependency, and OS performance issues.
- Analyze Windows Event Logs, performance counters, crash dumps, service failures, and system/application logs.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong hands-on expertise across Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with PowerShell automation.
- Knowledge of clustering, patching, security hardening.
- Experience with virtualization.
- Familiarity with hybrid/cloud environments.
- Strong L3/L4 troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis.
- Strong automation skills.
- Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Ability to lead complex incidents and technical changes.
