About the Role
EdifyChamps is seeking a passionate and creative Creative Writing Mentor to teach students in the US market. This is a remote, freelance opportunity focused on helping children improve their storytelling, imagination, vocabulary, written expression, and overall creative writing skills through personalized online sessions. The role requires availability during US time zones, typically meaning night shifts in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive online creative writing sessions for students.
- Teach storytelling, character development, plot structure, descriptive writing, and narrative techniques.
- Design age-appropriate writing exercises and creative assignments.
- Provide personalized feedback to help students improve their writing.
- Track student progress and adapt lessons according to individual learning needs.
- Communicate professionally with parents and the academic coordination team.
- Ensure engaging, student-focused, and high-quality learning experiences.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong written English and creative writing skills.
- Ability to teach storytelling, grammar, vocabulary, and narrative development.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
- Comfortable conducting online classes using digital learning platforms.
- Passion for helping children develop creativity and confidence in writing.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for online teaching.
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring children is preferred.
- A degree in English, Creative Writing, Education, or a related field is an advantage.
Compensation
- Regular session: ₹350 per session.
- Demo session: ₹100 per session.
- Freelance, session-based compensation.
- Opportunity to work with students in the US market and gain international teaching experience.
Availability Requirements
- Must be available for the US night shift (Indian night hours).
- Flexibility to teach according to US student schedules and assigned session timings.
