About the Role

This role is fully responsible for driving Blending & Movement product use case validations. The individual will collect requirements, drive use case validation scenarios, identify validation scenarios for new releases, and drive test automation. The role also requires understanding the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints to advocate for customer experience and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Blending & Movement product use case validations.
• Collect requirements and drive use case validation scenarios.
• Identify validation scenarios for product validations during any new release.
• Drive test automation in the project.
• Perform manual and automated testing on Blending & Movement applications.
• Execute planned test cases, identify defects, and validate bug fixes.
• Suggest test strategies for the software product.
• Brainstorm and develop various scenarios as Test Cases for process industry automation software.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Development skills to drive the automate test process.
• Experience in Product testing/Development/project engineering with specific exposure to Blending and Movement software or related systems for Refining, Terminals Oil and Gas & Chemical Industries.
• Automation systems such as DCS, PLCs or SCADA. Preferably Experion DCS/SCADA or any other DCS.
• Knowledge of PID Loops.
• Understanding and implementation knowledge of HBM modules like Movement management, Inventory Monitor, Blend Controller, Blend Optimizer, Optimization Methods, LIMS Viewer.
• Experience in writing SQL queries & basic Database management skills.
• Working experience of integration with other systems using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC and web services.
• Knowledge of integration/compatibility with other HCI Advanced applications like PHD, PAR, Alarms.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, Loop drawings, control narratives and functional design specifications.
• Good knowledge on web application testing, Performance testing.
• Knowledge of IIS, Web service (WCF), Rest APIs and web application concepts.
• Good knowledge in database related concepts.
• Good knowledge of Verification and Validating the web applications.
• Well versed in software debugging.
• Extensive knowledge of agile software testing and development lifecycle in a fast-paced working environment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Product Testing /Implementation/Support experience of Blending and Movement software.
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of Refinery and Terminal operations, Blending & Movement Applications is preferable.
• Good understanding of operational KPIs and operations metrics for safe & economical operations for Refining, Terminals Oil and Gas & Chemical Industries.
