About the Role

GROWVIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS is a growing organization providing professional services and solutions to support education and career development. This is a full-time remote role for an Academic Counselor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students on academic pathways, course selection, and educational planning.
• Conduct virtual counseling sessions.
• Assess student needs.
• Develop individualized academic and career plans.
• Offer career counseling.
• Share information about educational opportunities.
• Guide students on skills and qualifications needed for their goals.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal teams.
• Use online tools to track progress and follow up with students.
• Create and deliver informational materials, workshops, and resources to support student success and retention.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills.
• Clear and professional Communication skills, including active listening and empathy.
• Career Counseling skills.
• Understanding of education and training pathways.
• Knowledge in Education, including academic programs, curricula, and learning support resources.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple cases.
• Ability to use digital platforms for counseling and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ethical practice.
• Commitment to non-discriminatory, student-centered guidance.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience in academic or career counseling, preferably working with diverse student populations in remote or online settings.
