About the Role
This role will work with a team of programmers and analysts on the organization's systems, with a primary focus on new installations for financial institutions. Other tasks between installations, such as upgrades, will also be included.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform software installations on AS400 and Windows Servers.
- May assist with code review, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and resolve issues.
- Learn assignments and design/develop programming requirements and software specifications.
- May assist with programming and testing all or selected components of applications.
- Learn to analyze and resolve test result problems and debug production issues.
- May participate in creating programming documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Adhere to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to software development, security, and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- RPG
- Windows Server
- AS/400
- COBOL
- Experience working with Windows Server-based web application environments.
- Familiarity with mainframe environments.
Qualifications
- Ability to read COBOL code.
- Programming/software engineering related certifications are a plus and/or an active desire to pursue such certifications.
