Architect (Junior and senior)

About the Role

New Urban Concepts is seeking Architects for both Junior and Senior positions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts.
• Prepare drawings and plans.
• Contribute to detailed design documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and consultants.
• Ensure designs are technically sound, compliant with regulations, and aligned with client requirements.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Integrate feedback into project deliverables.
• Support quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Senior architects will lead project phases, mentor junior staff, and oversee coordination.
• Junior architects will assist with design development, drafting, and support tasks.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and preparation of technical drawings.
• Skills in Software Development and Integration relevant to architectural workflows, including proficiency in design and BIM tools, and the ability to integrate digital solutions into project processes.
• Skills in Project Management, including planning, coordination with stakeholders, tracking timelines, and managing project documentation.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
• Strong visualization and presentation abilities.
• Good knowledge of building codes, local regulations, and construction practices.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Openness to learning and feedback.
• Senior applicants should have demonstrable experience leading projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Prior professional experience in architecture or internships in design firms.
