Academic Counselor

About the Role

UNIVO Educations is an education services organization focused on supporting learners through high-quality academic programs and guidance. This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Noida.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide prospective and current students on suitable academic programs, admission processes, and educational pathways.
• Meet or call students, understanding their educational background and goals.
• Provide academic and career guidance, and help students make informed decisions about courses and institutions.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Follow up on inquiries.
• Conduct orientation or information sessions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth student experience.
• Support outreach activities.
• Respond to student queries promptly.
• Adhere to organizational policies and service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field.
• Advanced qualifications or certifications in counseling are an advantage.
• Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to understand individual learner needs and goals.
• Career counseling and education-related knowledge to guide students on program selection and future opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening, clear explanation of options, and professional interaction with diverse student populations.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Comfort with using digital tools, CRM or student management systems, and common office software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, handle multiple student cases, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, student support, or education services is preferred.
