About the Role
The Manager Trainee position is a full-time, entry-level role at 84 Lumber designed to prepare individuals for leadership within the company. This role involves hands-on training across all facets of store operations, with the objective of promotion to a management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
- Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
- Create material estimates for building projects.
- Safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Manage payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
- Utilize and refine skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Full-time schedule availability (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
- Willingness to relocate for a management position.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, in various weather conditions.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds).
- Ability to work around machinery and airborne particles.
- Microsoft Office Suite (previous experience preferred).
