About the Role
The Buyer role at Perpex is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Gwalior Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process:
- Identifying suppliers
- Requesting quotes
- Negotiating prices and terms
- Placing purchase orders for goods and services
- Monitor inventory levels.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to support operations and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases.
- Analyze spending patterns.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
- Uphold quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve invoice or delivery issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of procurement procedures.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement or ERP tools.
Qualifications
- Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including:
- Vendor sourcing
- Quotation management
- Price negotiation
- Experience with inventory control and basic supply chain management.
- Ability to analyze costs and compare supplier offers.
- Ability to support budget optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, or Procurement role is an advantage.
