About the Role
Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is a Fortune 500 company that provides corrugated packaging and paper products. This IT Systems Engineer I role supports PCA's mission to serve customer needs with products and services that exceed expectations for performance and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigating and resolving help desk service requests.
- Supporting O365, including Outlook and MS Teams.
- Working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Windows Operating Systems (Desktop and Server) literacy.
- IT knowledge of computers, laptops, tablets, servers, mobile units, and virtual machine environments.
- Network knowledge, including Network Switches, TCP/IP, and Packet Capture Software.
- VMware and Microsoft Server environments knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with VLAN concepts and configuration.
- Understanding of DHCP, vLans, and SSH protocols.
- Understanding of PowerShell commands.
- Familiarity with Wireless technologies (Aruba, Aerohive, and Cisco).
- Familiarity with traffic capture techniques and software.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective communication with individuals throughout the company regarding departmental procedures, policies, and requests for information.
Veeam backup experience is a plus.
